Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring with me to Casa de Oro?

While we provide linens and kitchen basics, you’ll want to make sure to bring any personal care/clothing items that will make your stay more comfortable. This includes:

  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Prescription Medications
  • Hair care products & any other beauty care items you might want (just remember that it is hot and humid here during the day so a hair straightener or heavy makeup might just spend the entire vacation in your luggage!)
  • Shampoo & conditioner, body wash, toothpaste & toothbrush and any other personal hygiene products (these are all also available for purchase at the grocery store in Zihuatanejo as well as basics being available at the local bodegas in Troncones)
  • CDs (our stereo system has a CD player)
  • iPod (connects to stereo)
  • Flashlights if you plan to go into town at night
  • Sun hats
  • Sunglasses
  • Sandals
  • Light clothing, several bathing suits, as well as one wrap/sweater/jacket as it can get chilly at night
  • Computer / tablet *if* you want to stay connected during your stay (we do have wifi internet throughout the Villa)
